Our learners face challenges such as Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, and other developmental or behavioral disorders. Through a holistic approach — academic, social, and spiritual — we help each child grow as a unique individual.

At Zettie Jonker Hulpsentrum, education is tailored to meet the unique needs of each learner. We follow a holistic approach that focuses on academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring that every child is supported at their own pace. Through individualised learning plans, remedial teaching, and therapeutic support, we create a structured yet nurturing environment where learners can grow in confidence and reach their full potential. Our goal is not only academic progress, but also helping each child develop life skills, independence, and a strong sense of self-worth.

Sport plays an important role in building confidence, teamwork, and physical development at our centre. We are proud to have recently celebrated the opening of our Move It sports field, generously sponsored by Move It Civils, which provides a safe and versatile space for break-time play, outdoor exercises, and physical activities. Our learners also benefit from rugby development sessions through Rugga Roots, a programme focused on grassroots rugby coaching that teaches discipline, teamwork, and fundamental sporting skills in a fun and inclusive way.
In addition, we have an indoor cricket team called the Wicket Warriors, where both boys and girls participate in weekly practices at the indoor sports arena in Mossel Bay. These sessions encourage skill development while keeping the focus on enjoyment and participation. We also promote community involvement by hosting friendly matches where teachers and parents join in, creating meaningful connections beyond the classroom. Looking ahead, we are excited about the upcoming installation of an outdoor gym, which will further support strength, coordination, and overall physical wellbeing for our learners.
